[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 3월 15일 오후 2시, 횡성군이 횡성군청 1층 로비에서 '여성친화도시 2단계 지정 현판 제막식'을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

현판 제막식에는 장신상 횡성군수를 비롯한 권순근 횡성군의회의장, 횡성교육장, 횡성경찰서장, 여성친화도시 군민참여단장 등 관내 기관단체장 40여 명이 참석했다고 전했다.

횡성군은 지난 2016년 12월 ‘여성친화도시 1단계’ 첫 지정 이후, 그간의 추진 실적 및 향후 계획의 실현 가능성을 인정받아 지난해 12월 여성가족부로부터 여성친화도시 2단계로 재지정됐고, 군은 올해부터 2026년까지 여성친화도시 2단계 사업을 추진하게 되며, 1단계 사업 확대·강화 및 면 단위 지역으로 사업을 확대하여 지역별 부족한 인프라를 구축할 계획이라고 했다.

 2단계에서는 횡성형여성일자리 사업, 성평등 마을만들기 사업, 횡성여성기자단 활동, 횡성여성문화의 날 운영, 여성 안심 보안관 사업 등 여성이 안전하고 평등한 사회 조성뿐만 아니라, 안전한 공공 환경 조성을 위한 군민참여단 모니터링, 공공건축물 유니버설디자인 컨설팅 지원 등을 통해 남녀 모두 안전하고 행복한 횡성을 위한 다양한 사업이 추진된다고 했다.

김홍석 교육복지과장은 “성평등한 관점에서 군민 모두가 행복한 여성친화도시 횡성이 될 수 있도록 내실있게 추진하겠다”고 말했다.
