나무시장은 숲과 나무의 소중함을 알리고, 나무 심기 필요성과 중요성에 대한 공감대 조성을 위하여 매년 봄 운영되고 있으며, 운영 기간은 3월 11일부터 오는 4월 16일까지로, 횡성군산림조합 나무전시판매장으로 방문하면 되고, 매일 오전 9시부터 오후 6시까지 운영하며, 기간 내 주말과 휴일에도 이용할 수 있다고 전했다. 

나무시장은 조합원이 직접 재배한 우량한 품질의 나무를 중간 유통 과정 없이 판매하여 저렴한 가격에 구입할 수 있어 인기가 높으며, 조경수, 과실수, 관목류 등 묘목을 비롯해 잔디, 비료, 조경자재 등 다양한 상품을 구입할 수 있고, 보다 자세한 사항은 횡성군산림조합 전화로 문의하면 된다고 했다.
