[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 2일 동해시가 동절기 기온강하로 중지했던 동해시 청소년체육문화센터 신축공사를 재착공했다고 밝혔다. 

청소년체육문화센터는 지난 2018년 문화체육관광부 체육진흥시설 지원사업 공모사업에 선정돼 추진 중이라고 전했다.

동해시는 총 사업비 110억원을 투입해 웰빙레포츠타운 내 연면적 3,898.85㎡, 지하 1층, 지상 3층 규모의 체육문화센터를 건립할 계획이라고 했다.

센터는 올해 11월 완공될 예정이며, 음악연습실, 댄스연습실, 영상 제작실 VR실, AR실, 체육관, 다목적 강당 등이 들어서게 된다고 전했다.

이월출 문화체육과장은 “청소년체육문화센터가 준공되면 청소년을 비롯한 시민들의 체육‧문화 활동 참여 증대가 이뤄질 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.
