[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동해시는 제4기 동(洞) 지역사회보장협의체 위원 172명을 재구성하고 2년간 본격적인 활동에 들어간다고 밝혔다.

이번 제4기 동 지역사회보장협의체는 당연직 29명, 위촉직 143명으로 구성됐으며, 각 동의 추천을 받아 위촉됐다고 전했다.

동 지역사회보장협의체는 복지사각지대 없는 동 단위 민관협력 네트워크 구축을 통한 사회보장 자원 발굴 및 연계, 대상자 발굴 등의 역할을 수행하게 되고, 위촉장은 코로나19 방역수칙에 따라 동별 위촉식을 통해 전달될 예정이라고 했다.

권순찬 복지과장은 “새로 구성된 동 지역사회보장협의체가 민관협력의 구심점으로서 복지 사각지대 대상자 발굴, 사회보장 자원 확충 등 지역사회 보호체계로서 역할을 충실히 수행해 줄 것이라 기대하며, 시민들의 행복지수를 높일 수 있는 맞춤형 복지가 실천되도록 적극적으로 힘써주시기를 당부드린다”고 밝혔다.
