[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 2021년도 4분기 으뜸봉사상 대상자로 (사)고성군자원봉사센터에서는 바르게살기운동 고성군협의회 ‘우광문’, 으뜸봉사단체로 ‘간성읍 남성 의용소방대’를 선정하였다고 밝혔다.

으뜸봉사자로 선정된 수상자 우광문님은 지난 2005년부터 봉사활동를 시작하여 다년 간 어려운 이웃과 지역을 위해 다양한 분야에서 꾸준히 봉사활동을 전개하였고, 특히 코로나19 예방 및 확산 방지를 위해 지역 다중시설 방역·소독, 코로나19 백신 예방접종 민원안내 지원 및 마스크 착용 캠페인 등 활동을 주기적으로 진행하고 있다고 했다.

으뜸단체로 선정된 간성읍 남성 의용소방대는 소방업무를 보조하기 위해 지역의 주민 중 희망하는 자로 설치된 소방조직으로 화재발생시 많은 인력을 필요로 하는 곳에 투입되어 고성군 재난구호활동과 지역안전에 만전을 기하고 있는 단체이며, 또 고성군 지역행사와 지역 군민들의 화재예방을 위한 캠페인 및 순찰활동을 지속적으로 진행하였고, 또한 고성군에서 하는 행사들을 수시로 지원하였다고 했다. 

고성군자원봉사센터는 2022년 임인년 새해에도 “코로나19를 극복하면서 진정한 사랑과 나눔의 의미를 공유하여, 고성군 자원봉사 활성화에 앞장서 줄 것”을 당부했다.
