[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 28일 11시에 강원도 소방본부는 전국 소방 최초로 AI 경진대회를 개최하고 강원도청(2청사 대회의실)에서 시상식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

강원소방본부는‘21년 과학기술정보통신부 주관 빅데이터 센터 구축 공모사업 선정을 계기로 소방안전 빅데이터 활용에 대한 인식을 확산시키고, 다양한 분야에 적용할 수 있는 방안을 찾기 위해 AI 경진대회를 개최했으며, 만19세 이상 개인 또는 3인 이내 팀으로 참가했고, 대회기간은 지난 11월 29일부터 12월 17일까지 온라인을 통해 접수하여 총 87개 팀이 참가했으며, 대학·대학원생 48팀(55%), 관련분야 직장인 20팀(23%), 취업준비생 15팀(17%) 등이라고 했다.

경진대회는 참가자들이 강원도 원주시에서 발생한 구급출동 데이터를 기반으로 AI 예측모델을 개발하고, 매월 마지막 날 시간대별 실제 구급출동을 얼마나 정확히 예측하였는지를 평가하는 방식으로 진행했다고 했다.

평가는 전국 AI 분야 대학교수 5명이 예측결과의 정확도, AI 모델 적합성, 창의성을 정량(80%) 및 정성(20%)평가를 통해 선정했다고 전했다.

시상은 총 14팀으로 대상 1팀(상금 200만원), 최우수상 3팀(각 100만원), 우수 10팀(각 50만원) 선발하여 강원도지사상을 수여했다고 했다. 

- 대    상 : 일석삼조 팀(대상 김기만 외 2명)  

- 최우수상 : 전원주 팀(최우수상 이동규 외 2명) 외 2팀

- 우 수 상 : 전미인 팀(우수상 강민규) 외 9팀

윤상기 강원도소방본부장은 “이 대회를 계기로 소방안전데이터에 대한 관심이 높아지고 소방산업과 안전에 대한 다양한 아이디어가 개발되는 계기가 되기 희망한다.”고 말했다.
