풍산초 3학년 이윤준 군은 “코로나 검사도 해주시고, 백신접종도 해주시고, 많이 바쁘실 것 같아요. 코로나가 빨리 끝나서 바쁘지 않으셨으면 좋겠어요”라고 희망의 메시지를 전했다.

같은 학교 1학년 김다온 양은 “사람들을 위해 치료해주시고, 도와주셔서 감사합니다. 많이 힘드시죠? 저도 선생님처럼 남을 도와주는 학생이 될께요”라고 다짐했다. 

이경희 군보건의료원 감염병 예방담당은 “이런 편지까지 받고 보니, 피로가 싹 씻겨 나가는 기분”이라며 “화천군민과 아이들의 건강을 위해 할 수 있는 모든 노력을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다. 

화천어린이집 원생들은 의료진의 헌신에 감사하는 마음을 담은 응원 보드판을 제작해 의료원에 전달했고, 12월 27일까지, 화천군 보건의료원은 총 주민과 군장병 등 모두 6만749명을 대상으로 코로나19 검체검사를 진행하고 있다고 전했다.
