이는 매년 영농 후 발생하는 부산물 소각으로 인해 대형 산불을 일으킬 위험성이 매우 크고, 이로 인해 영농에 막대한 손해를 입을 수 있다는 우려로 마련된 방안이라고 했다.

이에 따라 양양군은 6개 읍․면 곳곳에 홍보 현수막을 게첨하여 산불예방과 농업분야 미세먼지 발생량을 줄이기 위한 안내를 적극 홍보해 나갈 방침이라고 했다.  

또한 양양군 농업기술센터는 임대사업소에서 보유하고 있는 동력 잔가지파쇄기를 농민들에게 활용을 권장하여 영농부산물 파쇄 및 산불예방에 적극 동참을 유도 할 계획이라고 전했다.  

양양군 농업기술센터 관계자는 “이번 영농부산물 파쇄를 통해 산불예방과 미세먼지 저감 등 다양한 효과를 거둘 것으로 기대한다”며 “적극적으로 영농부산물 소각금지 홍보를 하겠다” 고 말했다.
