[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 2021년 제16회『동해시자원봉사대상』에 동해시자율방재단 한봉현 부단장이 최종 선정됐다고 밝혔다.

동해시자율방재단 한봉현 부단장은 자원봉사자 등록자료 기준으로 15년 2개월 동안 2,753회 10,887시간의 봉사활동을 하는 등 동해시 자원봉사 활성화에 기여한 공로를 인정받아 이번 대상자로 선정됐다고 했다.

특히, 청소년선도, 범죄예방, 순찰활동을 비롯해 코로나19 방역 등 감염병 확산방지 활동에 다수 참여해 주변이 귀감이 됐으며, 공식기록 이외에도 1997년부터 부곡동 자율방재단 등에서 봉사활동을 시작한 것으로 알려져 실제 자원봉사 시간은 기록보다 훨씬 많을 것으로 추정된다고 했다.

시상식은 2021년 12월 17일 10시 동해시자원봉사센터에서 개최하는 2021 동해시자원봉사자대회에서 약식으로 진행되며, 김상영 동해시 부시장이 상을 전수할 예정이라고 했다.
