[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 12월부터 2월 28일까지 3개월간 동해시는 ‘동절기 복지사각지대 집중 발굴 기간’을 운영한다고 밝혔다.

이번 집중 발굴 기간은 겨울철을 맞아 생계 곤란 등 위기 상황으로 도움이 필요하나 지원을 받지 못하는 위기가구를 발굴하고 민간 및 공공복지서비스를 연계하기 위해 추진된다고 했다.

동해시는 자체 계획을 수립하고, 생계 곤란·한파 등 위기 상황에 취약 가구를 방문해 생활실태 조사 및 위기 요인별 맞춤형 서비스를 연계·지원하고, 특히, 지역 실정에 밝은 동 지역사회보장협의체 위원, 명예사회복지 공무원, 복지 통·반장 등으로 복지 사각지대 발굴단을 구성해 복지 사각지대를 발굴해 나갈 계획이라고 했다.

또, 주변에 어려운 이웃은 없는지 한 번 더 관심을 가질 수 있도록 지역주민을 대상으로 위기가구 신고 방법 안내 등의 홍보도 펼칠 예정이라고 전했다.
