[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 6일 양양군은 전직원을 대상으로 ‘중대재해처벌 등에 관한 법률’의 주요내용 및 기관별 세부 가이드라인에 대한 교육을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 교육은 중대재해처벌법과 관련된 안전 및 보건 확보의무 이행에 필요한 관리상 조치, 위험요인 파악, 제거·대체·개선 등에 관한 것으로 (주)세이프지 최요한 대표가 강의를 맡았다고 했다. 

내년 1월 27일 중대재해처벌 등에 관한 법률이 시행되면 ‘중대산업재해’, ‘중대시민재해’ 등 중대재해가 발생할 경우 사업주 또는 경영책임자에게 직접 책임을 묻는 등 민‧형사상 책임이 강화된다고 했다.

처벌대상에 중앙행정기관장과 지방자치단체장, 공공기관장, 지방공기업의 장도 모두 포함되는 만큼 재해사고에 대한 행정기관의 각별한 주의와 선제적인 대응이 요구되는 시점이라고 했다.

김진하 양양군수는 “무엇보다 재해 예방이 우선이다”며 “근로자의 생명과 안전을 지키기 위해 산업안전보건 관리에 최선을 다하는 등 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편 ‘중대산업재해’는 사업 또는 사업장, 시설, 장소, 장비 등에 종사하는 근로자가 사망 또는 부상하거나 질병에 걸리는 경우, ‘중대시민재해’는 원료‧제조물이나 공공이용시설, 공공교통수단의 설계‧제조‧설치‧관리 상 결함으로 발생할 경우에 해당된다고 전했다.
