[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 25일 의정부시는 의정부문화원 강당에서 의정부시가 주최하고 의정부문화원이 주관한 제4회 의정부시 아이사랑 수필공모전 시상 및 북 콘서트를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

올해로 4회를 맞이한 아이사랑 수필공모전은 저출산 극복의 실천적 해결책을 모색하기 위해 추진하고 있는 의정부시 시민 참여형 인구정책이고, 지난 4월부터 8월까지 넉 달간 진행한 아이사랑 수필공모전은 총 171편의 작품이 접수되어 작년 대비 19.3%가 증가했으며, 이에 접수된 작품들은 공정한 심사를 거쳐 16편의 작품을 선정했다고 했다.

이번 행사는 코로나19 상황으로 행사 관계자, 수상자 및 수상자 가족에 한해 소규모로 추진했으며, 축하공연, 당선작 시상 및 수상작을 낭송하는 북 콘서트를 진행했다고 전했다.

‘파수꾼’이라는 작품으로 대상을 받은 이정욱 씨를 비롯한 수상자들은 이번 수필 공모전에 참여하면서 잠시나마 우리의 가족을 생각하고 미소를 지을 수 있는 소중한 기회였다고 말했다.
