[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 11월 22일 화천군은 오는 30일 간동면 구만리에 설치된 인도교인 ‘살랑교’ 화천의 대표적 관광 콘텐츠인 ‘북한강 산소길’이 업그레이 개통식을 개최한다고 밝혔다. 

공모를 통해 확정된 교량 명칭인 ‘살랑교’는 인도교가 소재한 곳의 지명인 살랑골에서 유래한 것으로, 북한강의 시원한 바람과 로컬 이미지를 담아냈고, 주변 풍광도 수려한 살랑교는 총길이 290m, 폭 3m 규모로, 사람과 자전거만 통행할 수 있는 다리라고 했다. 

교각 상판 중 120m 구간은 투명유리로 설치된 ‘스카이 워크’존으로 조성돼 발 밑으로 흐르는 북한강을 조망할 수 있는 것이 특징이며, 이와 함께 살랑교와 인접한 북한강 부굣길도 최근 정비를 마쳤고, 부굣길의 명칭 ‘숲으로 다리’는 소설가 김훈씨가 이름을 붙였다고 했다. 

총연장 40㎞의 화천 산소길 중 한 구간인 이곳은 산소길을 대표하는 트레킹 코스이자 자전거길이고, 한국관광공사가 선정한 ‘아름다운 자전거 여행길 30선'에 선정될 만큼 빼어난 자연경관을 자랑하며, 화천군은 이 일대를 지역을 대표하는 트래킹과 자전거 투어 코스로 키워 나간다는 계획이라고 전했다. 

최문순 화천군수는 “북한강 산소길과 파로호 등 관광자원이 하나로 연결된다면, 북한강 일대가 전국에서 손꼽히는 트래킹 명소로 발돋움할 수 있을 것”이라고 했다.
