독감 유행 시기는 오는 12월부터 이듬해 5월까지로 예방주사를 접종한 뒤 항체 형성까지 2주가 소요되기 때문에 가장 효과적인 예방법은 독감 접종기간에 접종하는 것이라고 전했다.

국가예방접종 대상은 생후 6개월부터 만 13세 이하의 어린이, 임신부, 만 65세 이상 어르신으로 민간위탁의료기관에서 인플루엔자 4가 백신을 무료로 접종받을 수 있다고 했다.

예방접종이 처음인 생후 6개월 이상 만 9세 미만 2회 접종대상 아동은 지난달 14일부터 접종을 진행하고 있으며 접종경력이 있는 만 9세 이상 어린이는 과거 접종력과 관계없이 오는 14일부터 1회 접종을 실시한다고 전했다.
