[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 의정부시는 고용노동부가 추진하는 2022년 신중년 경력형 일자리 사업 공모에 3년 연속 선정, 국비 3억 6천여만 원을 확보했다고 밝혔다.

신중년 경력형 일자리 사업은 퇴직한 신중년의 경력과 전문성을 활용해 지역사회가 필요로 하는 사회서비스 일자리를 제공하는 사업으로, 신중년의 경력 형성을 통해 참여자가 민간 일자리로 이동할 수 있도록 징검다리 역할을 하고 있다고 했다. 

의정부시는 이번 공모로 선정된 3개 사업을 통해 34명의 퇴직 전문인력을 선발할 예정이며, 공모를 통해 확보한 국비 3억 65백만 원에 시비 3억 65백만 원을 매칭, 전년 대비 1억여 원이 증가한 7억 3천만 원의 사업비가 투입되고, 의정부시는 2020년부터 현재까지 신중년 일자리 사업 공모 선정으로 국비 포함 8억 75백만 원 사업비를 투입 61명의 신중년 일자리를 창출해오고 있다고 했다. 

한편, 의정부시는 내년 1월~2월 중 각 사업별 공고를 통해 참여자를 모집할 계획이고, 업무 관련 3년 이상의 경력이나 국가‧등록‧공인자격을 소지한 만 50세 이상 70세 미만의 퇴직 인력이 참여 대상이며, 주요 사업으로는 취약계층 대상 숲체험, 아동돌봄 및 시니어 교육서비스 제공, 계층별 문화예술 활동 교육 등이 있다고 전했다.
