[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 9월 15일 의정부시 신곡1동은 신곡1동 행정복지센터에서 자매결연지 영월군 김삿갓면의 농산물 판매를 위한 직거래 장터를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

올해 두 번째로 개최되는 직거래 장터는 포도, 생표고버섯, 꿀 세트, 고춧가루 등의 품목을 사전 예약 접수해 판매했으며, 코로나19 확산 방지를 위해 수령하러 오는 주민들에게 마스크 착용을 권고하고 일정 간격 줄서기를 위한 안내요원을 배치하여 방역 수칙을 준수하며 운영했다고 했다.

이날 신곡1동 주민자치센터 수강생이었다는 한 주민은 소외된 이웃들에게 나눠달라며 구입한 쌀 10㎏ 10포를 기부했다. 코로나19로 위축된 농가를 돕고 지역 주민들에게 품질 좋은 농산물을 제공하기 위해 20년째 이어져 온 본 행사는 익명의 기부로 더욱 훈훈한 분위기를 더했다고 했다.
