[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 8월 13일 의정부시 신곡1동 행정복지센터는 관내 취약계층 청소년 18명을 대상으로 무더운 여름을 건강하게 날 수 있도록 심신을 힐링하는 신곡권역 특화사업인 ‘사계절 힐링, 청소년의 건강한 여름나기’를 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 신곡1동 지역사회보장협의체 위원이며 관내에서 ‘라온공방’을 운영 중인 강사의 재능기부 및 영상 소통 장소 제공 등 지역공동체의 인적·물적 자원을 지원받아 순조롭게 운영될 수 있었다고 했다.

신곡권역 사계절 힐링 사업은 신곡권역만의 특화된 복지사업으로, 경제적·사회적인 이유로 문화 활동의 기회가 적은 이웃들에게 계절별 문화체험을 제공하고 있으며, 봄 행사는 독거어르신을 대상으로 야외 정원에서 원예체험을 통해 계절을 느끼는 시간을 가졌으며, 이번 여름 행사는 ‘공방체험’을 선정하여 천연재료를 활용한 3가지 아이템 '주물럭 비누, 클렌징 폼, 모기퇴치제'을 제작하고 청소년의 창의력 발달에도 도움을 줄 수 있도록 하였고, 행사는 코로나19 방역 수칙 준수 하에 비대면 온라인영상 소통으로 진행되었다고 했다.

박성복 신곡권역 국장은 “코로나19의 장기화로 지친 청소년들이 이번 공방체험을 통해 정서적 안정을 도모하고 여름을 더욱 건강하게 날 수 있기를 희망한다”며, “앞으로도 우리 권역의 문화 소외계층에게 다양한 문화향유의 기회를 적극적으로 확대하여 계층 간 문화격차를 해소할 수 있도록 업무를 추진해 나갈 계획이다”라고 밝혔다.
