[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평군은 가평군의 전통 및 숙련기술을 가진 가평군 장인 선정을 위해 신청자를 모집하고 있다.

가평군장인은 생산․제조 및 서비스 분야 등에서 숙련된 기술을 가진 숙련기술자, 건축·음악·공예·음식제조 등 전통기술을 습득하여 구현하는 전통기술자 두 부문에서 모집하며, 두 분야에서 2명 이내를 선정할 계획이라고 했다.

가평군은 선정된 장인에게 장인증서를 수여하고 2년간 소정의 기술장려금을 지원한다. 또한 군 주관 각종 교육 및 훈련 시 강사로 초빙하거나 기술인 단체의 기술전승 등 기술보급 사업에 장인이 참여할 수 있도록 지원한다고 했다.

가평군 장인 지정은 2017년부터 시작하였으며 현재 전통기술분야 5명(전통한옥 1, 짚풀공예 2, 석공예 1, 도자공예 1), 숙련기술분야 1명(제과제빵 1) 등 총 6명의 장인이 지정되어 있다고 했다.

가평군은 “유능한 기술인력에 대해 군에서 인증하는 장인으로 지정하여 기능인력 양성을 장려하고자 장인제도를 운영하고 있다.”며 뛰어난 기술을 가진 가평의 숨은 기술자들의 지원을 요청했다.
