[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 2일 의정부시시설관리공단 사랑나눔봉사단이 관내 장애인들과 의정부종합운동장 내 초화를 식재하는 '꿈땅희망정원 만들기'를 추진하였다고 밝혔다.  

이날 행사에는 사랑나눔봉사단 10명, 의정부밀알복지재단 장애인 및 관계자 23명이 참여하여 의정부종합운동장 북문 내 화단에 백일홍,메리골드,베고니아,금계국화 450주를 함께 식재하였다고 말했다. 

임해명 이사장은 “희망정원 조성에 적극적으로 참여해 준 장애인 및 직원들에게 감사의 말씀을 전하며, 평소 장애인 분들의 산책로로 이용되는 종합운동장에 정원을 함께 만들게 되어 기쁘다”며 “코로나19로 지친 장애인 분들이 꽃의 생기를 느끼며 위안을 느낄 수 있길 바란다”고 말했다.  

의정부밀알복지재단의 대표인 박춘섭 목사는 “언제나 우리 재단을 위해 애써주시는 의정부시시설관리공단 임직원 분들이 ‘꿈이 있는 땅’의 이름으로 예쁜 정원을 조성해주셨다”며 “임직원 분들께 다시 한 번 감사드리며, 앞으로도 지속적인 관심을 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
