양주시 관계자는 “이번 전시회는 장애인 작가의 뛰어난 예술적 역량을 확인할 수 있는 자리이자 장애에 대한 사회적 편견을 변화시키는 기폭제로 작용할 것”이라며 “시민들이 전시 관람을 통해 인간의 존엄성과 장애인의 인권 향상에 관심을 갖고 장애인식 개선의 필요성을 체감하는 계기가 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
