[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강원도는 도내 농수산식품의 우수성을 알리고 해외 수출을 확대하고자 미주지역 한인 최대 행사인 “LA 한인축제(농수산식품 우수상품 엑스포)”에 오는 22일부터 25일까지 참가한다고 밝혔다.

강원도는 5월에 모집공고를 통해 15개 업체를 선정했으며, 강원도관은 총 8개 부스로 40여개 품목을 전시판매할 예정이다.

이번 엑스포는 미국 LA 한인타운 서울국제공원에서 총 250여개 부스 및 관람객 총 40만명 규모로 농수산식품 및 생활용품 등을 전시판매하며, 특히 aT LA본부 등과 함께 바이어 수출상담회를 개최하여 미국 시장진출 확대를 위한 바이어와 수출상담, 홍보판촉을 진행한다.

강원도 농수산식품 수출은 2021년 기준 4억 6천만 달러 중 미국 수출은 6천 5백만 달러로 중국에 이어 가장 큰 시장을 차지하고 있으며 2020년 대비 12% 이상 성장하는 등 꾸준하게 실적이 증가하고 있는 중요한 수출시장이다.

윤인재 강원도 글로벌투자통상국장은 “코로나19, 러시아-우크라이나 전쟁 등으로 수출 어려움에 직면하고 있지만, 도에서는 도내 수출 관계기관과 협력해 농수산식품 수출실적 증대를 위해 다양한 해외시장 개척 및 수출업체 지원 등으로 수출실적 증대하고자 노력하겠다”라고 밝혔다.
