[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 30일 의정부시 행정혁신위원회는 의정부예술의전당 국제회의장에서 제19회 연구과제 발표회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

코로나19로 인해 2년여 만에 개최된 이번 발표회는 2021년도에 연구된 총 23건의 연구과제 중에 연구과제의 중요성, 시급성, 파급효과 등에 대한 종합적 검토 과정을 거쳐 선정된 2건의 연구 과제를 발표하고 과제에 대한 다양한 전문가들이 한 자리에서 모여 심도 있는 토론과 함께 질의·응답을 받는 순으로 진행됐다고 했다.

발표회는 ‘GTX 의정부 역세권의 전략적 발전방안’, ‘행복도시 의정부시의 노인문화 예술교육 활성화 방안에 관한 연구’가 발표됐고, 발표가 끝난 후 과제와 연관 있는 공공기관, 유관기관을 대표하는 참가자들이 토론에 참여해 다양한 의견을 제시하는 소통의 장이 마련됐다고 전했다.

안병용 의정부시장은 “행정혁신위원회의 연구물과 정책자문은 시정의 각 분야에서 시정발전의 밑거름이 되고 있고, 그러한 결과물이 이미 다양한 형태로 가시적인 성과로 나타나고 있는 만큼 앞으로도 행정혁신위원회가 의정부시의 성장 동력 마련하고 최선을 다해 주시길 바란다”고 당부했다.

한편, 안병용 의정부시장 취임 이후 2010년부터 구성된 행정혁신위원회는 현재까지 총 285건의 연구과제를 수행해 시정에 반영토록 했으며, 특히 올해 6월 확정된 경기연구원 의정부 유치에 큰 역할을 하는 등 의정부시의 발전을 위해 지속적으로 노력하고 있고, 매년 상·하반기에 개최되는 연구과제발표회는 2011년부터 총 19회째 이어지고 있으며, 이외에도 총 9회의 공동학술대회와 의정부포럼을 개최하는 등 공무원, 민간전문가, 대학교수, 시민들과 함께 시 발전방향에 대한 소통과 교류의 장을 마련해오고 있다고 밝혔다.
