[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동해시는 오는 5일 오후 8시 동해문화예술회관 야외공연장에서 「김경록×에일리」 기획초청 공연이 열린다고 밝혔다.

이번 공연은 동해문화예술회관 야외공연장 개관 16주년을 기념하고, 코로나19 및 지난 3월 발생한 동해안 산불을 슬기롭게 극복한 시민들을 응원하고 격려하기 위해 마련됐다고 했다.

김경록은 R&B 기반의 보컬 그룹인 V.O.S의 멤버로 다양한 음악 예능에 출연해 따뜻한 감성의 보컬로 왕성하게 활동하고 있으며, 데뷔 10주년을 맞이한 에일리는 지난 2012년 헤븐(Heaven)을 비롯해 각종 드라마 OST로 음악 차트 1위를 차지하는 등 대한민국 명품 보컬로 자리매김하고 있다고 했다.

국내 최정상급 가수인 김경록, 에일리 기획초청 공연을 통해 시민들에게  감동을 선사하고 화합의 장이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다고 전했다.

이월출 문화체육과장은 “이번 공연은 코로나로 인한 거리두기 해제 이후 처음 개최되는 야외공연이니만큼 많은 시민들이 참여하여 감동과 화합의 기회로 삼았으면 좋겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 동해시는 방방곡곡문화공감사업에 공모에 민간예술단체 우수 공연 프로그램 와이즈발레단의 “헨젤과 그레텔”이 선정돼 국비 2,800만원을 확보해 올 11월에 공연 예정이며, 외에도 미디어아트 전시회 및 오페라 등 다양한 장르의 공연을 진행할 계획이라고 전했다.
