[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강릉시는 강릉페이 사용처를 최대한 확보하고 결제 중단 사태를 막기위해 기간 내 가맹점 집중모집 기간을 오는 30일까지 운영한다고 밝혔다. 

「지역사랑상품권 이용 활성화에 관한 법률」이 개정 시행되어 오는 7월부터 지역화폐 가맹점 등록이 전면 의무화됨에 따라 30일까지 별도로 가맹점 등록을 하지 않으면 내달부터는 강릉페이 결제가 불가능하다고 했다.

강릉시는 지난 5월부터 강릉페이 미등록 가맹점주들에게 안내 문자와 우편물을 발송하고 홈페이지를 통해 가맹점 등록을 홍보하여, 결제 이력이 있는 1만 2천여 개 사업장 중 약 70%가 가맹점 등록을 완료했다고 했다. 

강릉페이 가맹점 등록 신청은 온·오프라인을 통해 가능하고 대표자 본인이 강릉페이 앱 또는 강릉시 홈페이지에 접속해 신청하거나 강릉시청 일자리경제과로 방문하면 된다고 전했다.

엄금문 일자리경제과장은“가맹점 등록 의무화로 사용자와 가맹점주의 불편함이 없도록 기간 내 등록 신청을 당부한다”고 말했다.
