이번 교육을 통해 가평군 내의 이웃 마을에서도 서로의 활동이나 내용을 모르던 마을·공동체 분들이 서로 교류하고 소통할 수 있는 지속가능한 학습공동체로 발전할 수 있는 가능성과 지역 사회와 마을이라는 삶터에서 자발적 주민 활동을 촉진할 수 있는 계기가 되었다고 전했다.

이번 마을공동체 역량강화 교육의 목적은 주민주도의 지역문제 해결을 위한 공동체 활동의 역량을 강화하고, 보조금 집행에 필요한 회계 절차를 이해하여 공동체 활동의 원활한 사업 추진과 사회적 가치를 창출함에 있다고 했다.
