[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평군의 농업인단체 및 클린농업 대학 총동문회에서 기후변화대응의 달을 맞이하여 탄소중립 실천 결의대회를 가졌다고 밝혔다.

가평군농업인단체협의회는 지난 26일, 클린농업대학 총문회는 4월 27일 자라섬 남도에서 탄소중립 실천 결의대회를 가지고 남도 꽃정원에 꽃묘를 심었고, 가평군농업기술센터와 각 단체는 2050 탄소중립 운동을 선도적 실천해 ‘지속가능한 우리 농업·농촌 만들기’에 앞장서고자 이번 행사를 마련하였다고 했다.

지난 26일, 가평군농업인단체협의회원 90여명이 참가한 가운데 탄소중립 실천을 위한 결의문 낭독과 슬로건 퍼포먼스 등이 진행했다고 전했다. 

4월 27일 캠페인에서는 클린농업 총동문회 회원 120여명은 ‘2050년 탄소중립 희망농촌 실현’을 목표로 기후화 대응 및 지역의 지속가능한 발전을 함께 이루기 위해 클린농업대학 총동문회 1,700여명 회원 간 공동 협력하기 위한 ‘탄소중립 실천 결의 공동 선언문’을 발표했다고 전했다.

선언문의 내용은 농업부문 온실가스 감축의 지속적 실천을 위해 화학비료와 작물보호제 적정량 사용하기, 농업용수 절감, 버려지는 영농자재 수거 및 소각금지, 농업기계·시설에 사용하는 화석연료 사용량 절감 등 농업인들이 영농현장에서 실천할 수 있는 방법들에 대하여 강조하였고, 결의대회 이후 아름다운 자라섬 남도 꽃 가꾸기 행사의 일환으로 가오라 꽃 약 4만5천본,  페츄니아 외 3종의 꽃묘 24,800본 등을 자라섬 남도에 식재하였다고 했다.

가평군농업인단체협의회 김세경 회장과 클린농업대학 총동문회 정용칠 회장은 "농업 및 생활 분야 탄소중립 실현을 위해서는 스스로가 자발적으로 실천할 수 있는 문화를 정착시키고 생활 속 탄소중립 실천을 위해 다양한 방안들을 회원들과 고민하고 모색할 계획"이라고 말했다. 

한편, 지난 4월 20∼21일 양일간 클린농업대학 금년 재학생들 역시 칼봉산 자연휴양림 일대 환경정화 및 탄소중립 실천운동 캠페인에 동참하는 시간을 가졌다고 밝혔다.
