[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 20일, 가평군은 보훈단체장 10여명을 모시고 가평군의 벚꽃명소인 청평면 상천리 에덴벚꽃길 에코 힐링투어를 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 고령의 보훈단체장들이 코로나-19로 인해 정부방침에 적극 협조하느라 외부활동을 하지 못한 채 생활해온 것에 대하여 '행복한 동행'의 일환으로 평소 외출이 어려운 고령의 보훈가족을 모시고 천혜의 자연경관을 자랑하는 아름다운 가평의 자연을 만끽하며 삶의 활력과 충전을 위해 마련됐다고 전했다. 

가평군의 벚꽃 명소 중 가장 아름다운 에덴벚꽃길을 걸으며, 그 동안 만나지 못해 못 다한 이야기꽃을 피우며 즐거운 시간을 즐겼으며, 아울러 가평군 100대 맛집에서 한정식으로 진수성찬을 준비하여 코로나로 지친 몸과 마음을 위로해주었다고 했다.

가평군의 그 동안 매월 보훈단체장을 모시고 관내 관광지와 명승지를 탐방하는 프로그램을 운영해 왔으나, 2년 전 코로나-19로 인해 중단하였다고 했다.
