[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 화천군이 올해부터 농업인 창업교육센터와 친환경 농업관리실을 건립해 본격적으로 운영을 시작했다고 밝혔다. 

화천군은 총 33억원을 투입해 지난 2월 상서면 신풍리 군농업기술센터 청사 내에 990㎡ 규모의 농업인 창업교육센터 및 친환경 농업관리실을 준공해 운영 중이며, 농업인의 고부가가치 농산물 가공제품 생산능력 배양과 창업, 좋은 품질의 친환경 농산물 생산으로 농가 소득증가 효과가 기대된다고 했다. 

1층에는 친환경 농업관리실, 2층은 창업교육센터, 3층에는 생활과학실습실 등이 조성됐고, 친환경 농업관리실은 토양검정 및 중금속 분석곽 가축퇴비 부숙도 측정 장비를 갖췄으며, 친환경 인증 대상 분석과 농업인 의뢰 토양검정 역할도 담당하게 된다고 전했다. 

창업교육센터는 농산물 가공식품의 온라인 쇼핑몰 창업, 전자상거래 교육, 창업에 필요한 과정 전반에 대한 지원역할을 맡고 있으며, 화천군은 수년 전부터 농산물 가공 및 전자상거래 등 유통망 개척, 친환경 농업기반 구축에 농정의 초점을 맞추고 있다고 헀다.

최문순 화천군수는 “창업 농업인이 직접 가공한 농산물 제품으로 유통에 참여한다면, 보다 높은 소득을 올릴 수 있을 것으로 기대된다”고 말했다. 

농업인 소득향상을 위한 농산물 종합가공지원센터가 이미 활발히 운영 중이며, 지난 2020년 준공한 미생물 배양센터는 농업인들에게 무상으로 친환경 농업에 필요한 미생물을 공급하고 있다고 밝혔다.
