[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 2월부터, 평창군여성단체협의회는 폐현수막을 활용하여 장바구니와 곡식자루 만들기 봉사 활동을 진행하고 있다고 밝혔다.

그동안 평창여협은 탄소 줄이기 캠페인을 지속해왔으며, 특히 올해는 폐자원을 활용한 사업을 연간사업으로 추진할 계획으로, 첫 사업으로 진행되는 이번 사업은 평창군옥외광고협회의 협조를 통해 폐현수막 1천여 장을 확보하여 회원들이 직접 곡식자루, 장바구니, 보자기 등을 제작하고 있으며, 오는 4월 중 탄소 줄이기 캠페인을 통해 지역주민에게 배부할 예정이라고 전했다. 

김복준 회장은 “기후 변화에 따른 피해가 점점 심해지고 있다며, 지역주민 모두가 탄소 줄이기에 동참하여 환경을 되살리고 살기 좋은 평창을 만드는 데 함께 하기를 바란다.”고 말했다.
