[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 홍천군이 '2022년 체류형농업창업지원센터' 운영을 시작한다고 밝혔다.

홍천군 농업기술센터는 귀농귀촌을 희망하는 도시민에게 체류공간 및 영농교육 프로그램 제공을 통해 안정적인 정착을 돕는 체류형농업창업지원센터를 지난 2017년부터 운영하고 있으며, 센터는 올해 지원한 37세대 중 서류 및 면접심사를 거쳐 최종 합격한 28세대 35명을 선정, 3월 8일 입교식을 갖고 본격 운영에 들어간다고 했다.

입교자 28세대는 올해 12월말까지 귀농귀촌에 필요한 기초 영농교육을 비롯한 관심작목 전문기술교육, 농기계 운전기술 및 가공교육, 선진농장 현장체험교육 등의 다양한 교육을 받게 되며, 또 세대별로 배정된 텃밭(165㎡)을 운영하면서 영농경험을 쌓게 되며, 선도 농가를 방문해 농업현장의 성공 기법을 배우고 정착 예정지 물색을 위한 지역탐방 등에 참여하게 된다고 전했다.

박승영 홍천군 농업기술센터 소장은 “체류형농업창업지원센터는 홍천군의 귀농귀촌 인구유입에 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있다”며 “앞으로도 내실 있는 귀농귀촌 교육을 통해 귀농귀촌에 관심 있는 도시민들이 홍천군에 안정적으로 정착할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

한편 올해로 운영 6년째를 맞고 있는 홍천군 체류형농업창업지원센터는 지난 5년간 129세대 164명을 교육했으며, 이중 56세대 73명이 홍천군에 정착했다고 밝혔다.
