[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 28일 오전 8시 30분 강릉시는 정일섭 부시장 주재로 ‘2023년도 국비확보 전략회의’를 개최하여 신규사업발굴과 계속사업, 국책사업 등 총 8,033억 원에 대하여 사업별 추진상황을 공유하고 향후 대응방안에 대해 긴밀히 논의했다고 밝혔다.

주요 국비사업으로는 시에서 직접 추진하는 2023년 ITS 구축사업(120억 원), 하수도정비 중점 관리지역 침수예방사업(21억 원), 진안‧저동지구 풍수해생활권종합 정비사업(79억 원), 강릉시 폐기물 소각시설 설치사업(117억 원) 등이 있고, 국책사업으로는 강릉~제진간 철도건설(6,000억 원), 연안정비사업(345억 원), 연안항만 방재연구센터 건립(250억 원), 국립 산림레포츠 센터조성(10억 원) 등이 있다고 했다.

강릉시는 코로나19 이후 경제활력 조기 회복과 지역 미래성장동력 확보를 위하여 정부역점 시책과 우리 시 핵심전략사업을 연계하여 국비확보에 총력을 다할 계획이라고 전했다.

또한, 해당부처와 기재부를 직접 방문해 사업의 필요성을 피력하고, 주요 현안사업에 대하여는 지역구 국회의원, 강원도, 서울 및 세종사무소 등 인적네트워크를 통해 대응해 나간다는 방침이라고 했다.

강릉시 관계자는“지역에 필요한 사업을 발굴하고 국비 확보를 통해 지역발전의 토대를 마련하기 위하여 대내외적으로 긴밀한 공조체계를 구축하는 등 정부예산확보에 총력대응 하겠다”고 밝혔다.
