[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 2월 22일, 청파장학회가 양양군 농업 발전과 지역인재 육성을 위해 농업경영인 자녀 2명에게 장학금을 전달했다고 밝혔다.

2월 22일, 농업기술센터 대회의실에서 농업경영인 40여명이 함께한 가운데 한국농업경영인 양양군연합회 연시총회를 개최하며, 이날 청파장학회 함범희, 함재희 부회장은 연시총회에 앞서 농업경영인 자녀 '대학생 1명, 고등학생 1명'에게 총 100만원의 장학금을 전달했다고 전했다.

청파장학회는 양양군농업기술센터 초대 소장이자 양양군의회 초대 의장을 역임한 故함상순 의장이 생전에 양양군 농업발전과 농업경영인의 자립 발전에 힘써 온 뜻을 받들어 그 자녀들이 설립했으며, 故함상순 전의장의 장남인 함승희氏가 장학회장으로 재임 중이며, 지난 1992년부터 올해까지 31차례에 걸쳐 모두 381명의 농업경영인 자녀들에게 7천720만원의  장학금을 지급했다고 밝혔다.

함범희 부회장은 인사말을 통해 “평소 끊임없는 독서를 통해 편견에 치우치지 않고 지혜와 깨우침을 얻는 습관을 가지기를 바란다”며 독서와 교육에 대해 강조했다.

김진하 양양군수도 격려사를 통해 “인재육성의 중요성을 깨닫고 수십 년 전부터 장학금을 전달해오고 있는 ‘청파 장학회’에 깊은 감사를 드린다”며, “지역농업과 인재육성에 있어 이미 튼튼한 기초를 쌓은 만큼 기대했던 결실을 수확할 수 있도록 더욱 힘쓰겠다”고 밝혔다.
