[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 평창군은 지난해 농식품 수출량 5,146톤, 수출액 1,054만 달러(한화 126억 원)를 달성했다고 밝혔다.   

주요 수출 품목은 파프리카, 토마토 등의 신선농산물(773만 불)이며 특히 고랭지 배추, 양배추의 수출금액이 124만 불로 2019년 대비 27.5% 증가했고, 또한 평창군은 지난해 코로나19로 인한 수출분야 예산 확보의 어려움 속에서도 수출촉진비, 선별포장비에 강원도 최대 규모인 20억을 28개 농가, 19개 업체에 지원하였으며, 농수산식품 수출 해외마케팅 지원 사업을 통해 미국, 홍콩 등으로 가공식품 2억7천6백만 원을 수출했다고 했다.

이상명 농업기술센터 소장은 “코로나19 사태 장기화 속에서도 126억 원 상당의 수출금액을 달성한 것은 평창 농산물의 우수성을 세계에 인정받고 있는 가운데 수출 농가의 노력 덕분이다.”라며, “앞으로도 수출물류비, 선별 포장비, 해외마케팅 지원 등의 내실 있는 수출 지원을 통해 세계 경제 환경 변화에 적극 대응하겠다.”라고 덧붙였다.   

한편, 평창군은 2020년 1,277만 달러를 수출했고, 올해 1,500만 달러 달성을 목표로 수출전략 사업을 추진해 나갈 계획이라고 전했다.
