현장실사에는 군용기소음피해대책위원회 김명선·임권일·박재경위원장과 대기환경 전문가 대전대 김선태 교수, 횡성군 자치행정과 현안추진T/F팀장, 환경과 대리관리팀장, 공군 관계자 등이 참석한다고 했다. 

현장실사 대상은 블랙이글스의 이·착륙장인 공군 제8전투비행단 내 활주로와 허쉬 하우스(Hush House, 전투기 엔진점검 시설)이며, 이들 장소는 지상에서 스모크를 분사한 뒤 배출성분을 측정할 수 있는 시설로 검토되어 왔다고 했다.

결과에 따라 구체적인 스모크 성분조사 방법을 논의하고 실시할 예정으로, 대기환경 전문가가 입회하는 이번 현장실사의 결과가 어떻게 나올지 주목된다고 전했다.
