이번 영화는 우리에게는 너무나 당연한 헌법에 보장된 교육권이 발달장애인을 비롯한 장애인에게는 현실적으로 얼마나 어려운 일인지를, 우리 사회에 차별과 배제가 얼마나 일상적인지를 보여줌으로써 우리가 모르거나 모른 체했던 지역 공동체의 역할에 대해 다시 생각할 수 있는 계기가 될 것이라고 했다.

특히 23일 오후 2시 첫 상영회에 영화관계자(감독, 출연진 등)와 시사회를 통해 공존과 공감에 대한 좀 더 깊이 있는 이야기를 나눌 수 있을 것으로 기대된다고 전했다. 

강릉시 관계자는“공공영역에서 업무를 수행하고 있는 공무원에게는 누구도 소외되지 않고 우리 모두에게 맞는 정책 수립과 실행이 필요한 만큼 다양성을 추구하는 열린 지역사회 만들기에 도움이 될 것”이라고 말했다.
