[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 4일 캠코는 소셜벤처기업* 육성과 창업 생태계 조성을 위해 지난 2019년 설립한 ‘소셜벤처허브’ 개관 2주년을 맞아, 입주벤처기업의 신규고용‧매출‧투자유치 등 성과를 발표했다고 밝혔다.

‘소셜벤처허브’는 캠코가 국유지를 활용해 개발한 ‘나라키움 청년창업허브(서울 강남구)’ 3, 4층에 서울특별시 등과 함께 운영하고 있는 지원공간으로, 현재 에이블테크* 2개, 환경기술기업 4개 등 총 12개 소셜벤처기업이 입주해 있다고 했다.

캠코 등 지원에 힘입어, 입주기업 매출이 지난해 69억원에서 올해 109억원으로 증가해 누적 매출 178억원을 넘어섰고, 신규고용 역시 2년 동안 각각 83명, 135명을 기록해 총 218명의 고용창출 성과를 거뒀다고 했다. 

특히, 스타트업 성공의 열쇠라 할 수 있는 ‘투자유치’를 위해, 소셜벤처 지원 전문 벤처캐피탈(VC)과 엑셀러레이터(AC)의 맞춤형 컨설팅 등을 통해 그간 14개 입주기업 53억원, 17개 입주 외 기업 63억원 등 총 31개 기업이 116억원 규모의 투자유치에 성공할 수 있도록 지원했다고 했다.

신흥식 캠코 사장 직무대행은 “소셜벤처허브의 비약적 성과는 경기침체와 고용시장 위축이 지속되는 상황에서 청년들이 이뤄낸 뜻깊은 결실”이라며, “캠코는 앞으로도 유관기관과 힘을 합해 청년들의 혁신창업 성공을 위한 성장 거점을 확산해 가겠다”고 말했다.
