[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 9월 9일 의정부시 송산3동 지역사회보장협의체는 취약계층 중․고등학생 2가구에 태블릿PC 지원하는 사업을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

코로나19 확산으로 비대면 수업 비중이 높아지면서 가정 형편상 스마트기기가 없는 학생들에게 온라인 학습기기 태블릿PC를 제공해 학업지원 및 학습격차를 해소하고자 이번 사업을 추진했다고 했다.

백동철 송산3동 지역사회보장협의체 위원장은 “코로나19 장기화에 따라 교육의 상당 부분이 온라인으로 진행되고 있지만, 경제적 부담이 있는 가정의 학생들에게도 공평한 교육기회가 됐으면 한다”며, “취약계층 청소년 가정에 태블릿PC 전달로 조금이나마 힘이 되기를 원한다”고 말했다.

민형식 송산권역국장은 “위원님들의 따뜻한 마음이 전해진다”며, “소외된 이웃에 귀 기울여 따뜻한 지역사회를 만들기 위해 애쓰시는 송산3동 지역사회보장협의체 위원분들에게 감사드린다”고 말했다.
