[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 8월 25일 동두천시노인복지관은 독거어르신 가정을 방문하여 제습기 및 선풍기, 영양음료를 전달했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 사업은 한국노인복지관협회 사업의 일환으로 경제적 상황 및 건강상태, 주거실태를 바탕으로 4명의 어르신을 선정하여 사회적 거리두기 및 방역지침 준수하에 개별 전달을 진행하였다고 했다.

이날 제습기를 전달 받은 한 어르신은 “지속되는 폭염으로 인해 무더위에 장기간 노출되고, 장마로 인한 습기로 곰팡이가 피어나면서 많이 걱정했었는데 제습기와 선풍기를 전달해줘서 고맙다”며 큰 만족감을 전했다.

강창운 관장은 “동두천시 어르신들이 건강하고 행복한 삶을 이어나갈 수 있도록 더욱 노력하겠다”며 “앞으로도 소외된 이웃들이 없도록 지역사회 복지실천에 앞장설 수 있도록 많은 분들의 관심과 협조를 요청드린다”고 전했다.
