[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 26일 동두천시 상패동 주민자치위원회는 특색사업의 일환인 유충방역 활동을 실시했다고 밝혔다. 

이날은 상패동 1통~7통을 중심으로 우수관과 하수구, 물웅덩이 등 모기 유충 서식지에 집중적으로 방역을 실시하였으며, 앞으로 방역 지역을 확대해 나갈 예정이고, 유충방역은 모기 등 해충의 유충번식 억제를 위한 것으로 감염병 예방을 위해 상패동 주민자치위원회가 발 벗고 나섰다고 했다.

김황규 부위원장은 “모기 및 유충으로 인한 주민들의 불편을 최소화하고자 유충방역작업을 시작하였으며, 쾌적한 상패동 주거환경을 이루기 위해 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다. 

한영수 상패동장은 “코로나19 상황 속에서도 상패동 주민들의 건강과 안전을 위해 수고해 주시는 상패동 주민자치위원회 회원들에게 감사드린다”고 전했다.

한편, 상패동 주민자치위원회는 오는 9월까지 유충방역 활동을 계속 실시할 계획이라고 했다.
