[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평군은 오는 10월 8일 제54회 가평군민의 날을 맞아 명예군민 수상 후보자를 추천 받는다고 밝혔다.

명예군민은 가평군 발전과 군민 복리 증진 등에 공적이 있거나 명성을 떨친 사람에게 상을 수여하여 가평군의 위상을 높이고자 2020년을 시작으로 매년 공모를 통해 추천받아 군민의 날에 수여하고 있다고 했다.

명예군민 추천 대상은 가평군민이 아닌 자로(외국인 포함) 분야별로는 대외적으로 문화·체육·예술·과학·기술·경제 등의 분야에서 군정발전에 기여한 자, 지역개발 및 사회봉사활동에 헌신적으로 참여하여 주민화합에 기여한 자, 외국에서 국제교류 및 군정시책 추진에 협력한 자, 기타 군정발전에 현저한 공로가 있다고 인정되는 사람이라고 했다.

정기 추천 접수 기한은 8월 6일까지이며 추천 절차는 관련 증빙서류를 구비하여 군수에게 추천 하면 되고, 추천은 가평군의회의장, 기관단체장, 읍·면장 또는 개인이 할 수 있으며, 개인 추천 시에는 20인 이상의 연서 추천의 방법으로 추천 가능하고, 이외 정기 접수 기간 외에도 연중·수시 추천가능하다고 했다.
