[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 4월 5일부터 6월말까지 3개월간 가평군은 실시한 2021년 상반기 사회보장급여수급자 전수확인조사를 완료했다고 밝혔다.

가평군은 13개 사회보장급여 수급자의 자격 및 급여의 적정성을 확보하고 부정수급을 방지하기 위해 사회보장시스템을 통해 제공받은 최근 갱신된 소득, 재산 등의 공적자료를 근거로 수급자의 수급자격 및 급여액을 재조사하였다고 전했다.

이번 확인조사는 복지정책과 통합조사관리팀 주관하에 1,313가구를 대상으로 실시해 보장중지 200가구, 보장유지 414가구, 급여감소 372가구, 급여증가 101가구 및 권리구제 216가구 등 자격 변동사항을 처리하였으며, 이후 부정수급자는 보장비용을 환수조치 할 예정이라고 했다.

확인조사 기간동안 급여감소 및 보장중지가 예상되는 대상자에 대해서는 충분한 사전안내와 소명기회를 제공하였으며, 보장이 필요한 대상자에 대해서는 타 복지제도를 활용해 최대한의 권리구제를 제공하는 방안도 강구했다고 했다. 

지병록 복지정책과장은 “복지대상자의 자격과 급여의 적정성 확보로 복지재정 누수를 사전에 예방함은 물론 급여수급이 중지되어 경제적․정서적으로 도움이 필요한 대상자에게 타 복지제도를 연계하여 복지사각지대가 발생하지 않도록 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.
