[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 의정부시 정보도서관은 국립어린이청소년도서관이 주관하는‘2021 도서관과 함께 책읽기’공모사업에 선정됐다고 밝혔다. 

‘도서관과 함께 책읽기’ 사업은 정보취약계층 어린이에게 책과 친해지는 환경을 마련하고자 공공도서관과 지역아동센터가 연계하여 독서문화프로그램을 운영한다고 했다.

의정부정보도서관은 사랑지역아동센터 어린이들을 대상으로 오는 5월부터 4개월 동안 매주 수요일에 도서관 사서, 독서전문 강사, 작가와 함께하는 다양한 독서문화프로그램을 진행할 예정이라고 말했다.

박영애 도서관운영과장은 “도서관과 함께 책읽기 사업으로 어린이들이 독서의 즐거움을 알려주는 계기가 되어 기쁘게 생각하며, 앞으로도 정보취약계층 어린이들에게 지속적으로 독서문화프로그램을 제공할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
