[김현우 기자 = 강릉] 강릉시는 동북아 최고 웰니스(Wellness) 마이스(MICE) 도시로의 도약을 준비하기 위해 오는 12월 2일 세인트존스호텔 안티구아홀에서 ‘강릉 마이스도시 포럼’을 개최한다고 밝혔다. 

2023 강릉 세계합창대회, 2024 강원 동계 청소년 올림픽, 2026년 ITS 세계총회 등 초대형 국제 이벤트를 앞두고 고부가가치 명품 웰니스 마이스 도시로의 브랜드 이미지 제고 및 관련 산업 육성에 박차를 가하고 시민과 공감하고자 이번 포럼을 개최한다.

강릉시가 주최하고 강릉관광개발공사와 한국마이스관광학회(회장 윤유식, 수석 부회장 여호근)가 주관하는 이번 행사는 윤유식 회장의 “마이스 산업의 트렌드 및 강릉 마이스 발전방안”을 주제로 한 기조강연으로 시작한다.
