[서종협 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동해시(시장 심규언)는 지난 21일 남호초등학교에서 동해시청, 동해경찰서, 동해교육지원청, 동해모범운전자회, (사)녹색어머니동해연합회 등 40여명이 참여하여  “2022년 개학기 초등학교 주변 교통안전 캠페인”을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이날 캠페인 참여자들은『스쿨존 내 과속, 불법 주·정차, 횡단보도 앞 일시정지 위반 등 교통법규 위반 단속, 등·하교시 보행중 스마트폰 사용금지 등』에 대하여 홍보 및 계도를 실시하여 “안전한 어린이보호구역 만들기”에 다같이 동참해 주기를 강조했다.

장순희 교통과장은“어린이보호구역 내 안전운전에 대한 사회적 관심 유도로 관내 초등학교 주변이 위해요인 없는 안전한 어린이보호구역으로 조성될 수 있도록 다 함께 동해시민이 참여하기를 기대한다”라고 말했다.
