[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강릉시는 2022년 한ㆍ중 수교 30주년을 기념하여 중국 자매도시 3개 도시와 온라인 교류를 추진할 계획이라고 밝혔다. 

강릉시는 시민들이 쉽게 접할 수 있는 버스정보시스템(BIS)을 통해 중국 자매도시 홍보 동영상을 송출하여 한ㆍ중 수교 30주년을 기념하고, 코로나19로 잠시 중단됐던 대면 국제교류와 홍보 활동을 온라인 상으로 재개함으로써, 중국 자매도시에 대한 시민들의 이해도와 호감도를 높이는 효과를 기대하고 있다. 

이번 온라인 교류에서는 7월 20일부터 10월 20일까지 3개월 동안 중국 3개 자매도시인 저장성 자싱시(浙江省嘉興), 후베이성 징저우시(湖北省荊州), 쓰촨성 더양시(四川省德陽)의 홍보 동영상을 월별 1편씩 송출할 예정이다. 

강릉시는 “코로나19로 직접 해외를 방문하기 힘든 상황에서 홍보 동영상을 통해 강릉시 중국 자매도시의 아름다움과 매력을 전달해 해외 자매도시에 대한 인지도 및 호감도를 올릴 수 있는 기회가 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
