[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 7월 8일부터 8월 28일까지 횡성군은 횡성문화체육공원 내 은가람광장 어린이 물놀이장을 운영한다고 전했다.  

운영시간은 오전 10시부터 오후 5시 30분까지이며 무료 운영하고, 매주 월요일은 휴장하며 개장식은 오는 8일 오후 3시 열리고, 김명기 횡성군수, 김영숙 횡성군의회 의장 등이 참석한 가운데 개장 행사가 진행될 예정이라고 밝혔다. 

지난 2021년 개장에 들어간 은가람광장 어린이 물놀이장은 누적 이용객 3,800여 명이 이용한 것으로 집계되었고, 코로나로 지친 군민들을 위한 피서지 역할을 톡톡히 했으며 군은 지난해 코로나19가 확산하는 상황을 감안해 횡성군에 주소지를 둔 어린이만이 이용할 수 있도록 했지만, 올해는 거주지 제한을 두지 않고 초등학생 이하 어린이들이 자유롭게 이용할 수 있도록 할 예정이라고 했다.

조형용 미래전략과장은 “군민들이 무더운 여름을 가족들과 함께 즐겁게 보낼 수 있도록 운영에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
