[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 원주시는 ‘제3차 관광 마스터플랜’의 계획구상 및 개발사업 선정을 위해 지난 6월 8일부터 10일까지 관계 부서(기관) 면담을 추진했다고 밝혔다.

원주시는 변화하는 관광 트렌드에 선제적으로 대응하기 위한 중장기 관광 발전 전략 수립을 위해 ‘원주시 관광 마스터플랜(2023~2026) 연구용역’을 지난 4월 1일부터 착수해 올해 말 수립을 목표로 하고 있다고 전했다.

이에 내실 있는 계획 수립을 위해 용역 수행 기관인 ㈜한국관광컨설팅과 함께 총 14개 관계부서(기관)를 순회하며 사업 연계방안, 사업 추진에 따른 문제점 해결방안 도출 등 다양한 의견을 청취했고, 면담 과정에서 나온 의견은 계획과제 수립 시 적극적으로 검토해 반영할 계획이라고 했다.

원주시 관계자는 “실효성 있는 마스터플랜 수립을 위해 사업 추진 실무자들의 의견이 중요한 만큼, 관광정책 연계 부서에서도 적극적인 협력 관계를 유지해 줄 것을 당부드린다.”라고 말했다.

한편, 시민과 관광객들의 의견 수렴을 위한 설문조사는 6월 중 온라인을 통해 진행할 계획이라고 전했다.
