[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 5월 6일, 가평군은 모든 군민이 안심하고 자전거를 탈수 있는 문화를 조성하기 위해 지난 2014년부터 시행하고 있는 가평군민 자전거보험을 가입(갱신)함으로써 갱신이 이뤄지는 오는 2022년 5월 7일부터 내년 5월 6일까지 보장이 된다고 밝혔다.

가평군에 주민등록을 둔 군민은 누구나 별도 절차 없이 보험에 자동 가입되며, 사고지역과 관계없이 일어난 자전거 사고에 대해 혜택을 받을 수 있고, 자전거를 직접 운전하던 중에 일어난 사고 또는 자전거를 운전하고 있지 않은 상태로 자전거에 탑승 중에 일어난 사고, 도로 통행중의 피보험자가 자전거로부터 입은 급격하고도 우연한 외래의 사고 및 자전거사고 벌금, 변호사 선임비용, 교통사고처리 지원금을 지원받을 수 있다고 전했다.
