[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 3월 22일 오구환 전 도의원은 6.1 지방선거 가평군수 출마 선언과 함께 본격적인 선거운동에 나섰다.

그 날 오구환 예비후보는 “경기도의원과 농협임직원을 역임하며 쌓은 준비된 경험으로 가평군의 새로운 변화를 일으키는 군수가 되겠다“고 말했다.

공약으로는 ▲희망가득, 풍요로운 농업, ▲행복 울타리 복지 및 교육, ▲품격과 매력 넘치는 문화관광, ▲활기찬 지역경제, 쾌적한 정주기반조성, ▲군민감동 열린행정 실현 등 5개의 공약을 내세웠고, 이 후 선거운동을 하며 가평군의 현안을 지속적으로 발굴해 해결하겠다고 약속했다.

오구환 예비후보는 지난 4월 22일 국민의힘 경기도당 공천관리위원회의 공천 심사에서 1차 통과했으며, 오는 27일부터 29일까지 시행되는 경선후보자 여론조사를 거쳐 4월 말 국민의힘 최종 후보자의 결과를 기다리고 있다.

한편, 오구환 예비후보는 강원대학교 정보과학 행정대학원 행정학 석사 학위를 취득했으며, 가평군농협 3.4대 조합장, 제8.9대 경기도의원을 역임했고, 또한 국민의힘 경기도당 부위원장, 가평.포천시 부위원장, 제20대 대통령선거 윤석열후보 조직통합본부 가평본부장을 맡았었다.
