[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 20일 오후 2시, 횡성군은 횡성국민체육센터에서 대한세팍타크로협회와 '전국세팍타크로 선수권대회' 유치 협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이날 협약식에는 안중기 횡성부군수를 비롯해 오주영 대한세팍타크로협회장, 이기병 강원도세팍타크로협회장, 정명철 횡성군체육회장 등이 참석했다고 전했다.

이번 협약에 따라 전국세팍타크로 선수권대회는 3년간 횡성에서 개최되며, 대회 운영에 따른 예산지원 및 성공적인 대회 개최, 대외적 횡성군 홍보 등을 위해 상호 협력하게 되고, 또한 이와 함께 제33회 전국세팍타크로 선수권대회가 4월 20일부터 오는 24일까지 5일간, 횡성국민체육센터에서 열리며, 대한세팍타크로협회가 주최하고 대한세팍타크로협회 및 강원도세팍타크로협회가 주관하며 횡성군과 문화체육관광부가 후원하는 이번 대회는 남녀 각각 중등부 1팀, 고등부 19팀, 대학팀 및 일반부 22팀, 총 42팀 300여 명이 참가하여 토너먼트 및 리그로 운영된다고 했다. 

특히 이번 대회는 2022년 항저우 아시아경기대회 최종 국가대표 선발전을 겸하여 함께 열려 더욱 큰 관심을 모으고 있으며, 대회는 신속항원검사를 통해 음성확인서를 제출한 경우에만 참가 가능하며, 경기장 출입시에는 반드시 마스크를 착용해야 한다고 전했다.
